Composed of 14,000 photovoltaic panels on a fenced area of ​​9.6 hectares, the ground-based photovoltaic park in Palaja in Aude has a power of 7.6 MWp and supplies electricity to 2,400 homes.

At BayWa r.e., the protection of biodiversity is a priority. That's why, refuges for snakes have been installed around the solar park, hedges have been planted, passages for fauna have been created in the fences, natural areas have been safeguarded and the park hosts a herd of sheep for the grazing.
