Inspection of Solar Energy Plants by Drone

We inspect your solar farm in minute detail

To overview

Inspection of solar energy plants using drones: a considerable time-saver

At BayWa r.e. we we take advantage of the latest technology, using an ultra-high-performance, professional drone to fly over your solar energy plants. Using high-tech drones allows us to identify all defective panels. It is equipped with a thermal camera which scans each solar panel and identifies the hotspots that indicate faults. Please note that this method of analysis is in compliance with the NF EN 62446 standard.

Precise localisation and easy spotting of faults

What happens if our drones find one or more faults on inspection? Following inspection, BayWa r.e. provides its customers with an overall map of the solar installation with the exact location of faults in the panels. We also provide thermal imaging photos to show temperature differences. With the help of the map and photographs, problems are identified, and maintenance teams can act quickly to make repairs.

Our technicians complete a quality inspection

Our drone pilots are also maintenance technicians. The benefit of this? It allows them to precisely categorise faults thanks to their detailed understanding of the technology. Furthermore, they know all about the installations and their respective characteristics. This means they are able to differentiate between true faults and false alarms.
